Nathan is an associate professor and Andrews Chair in Spiritual Formation at Spring Arbor University. Nathan is a licensed clinical social worker, certified addictions counselor and Pastor of Spiritual Formation at 1208 Greenwood, a free Methodist Church in Jackson, MI. He also writes a monthly essay and hosts a podcast for Renovare, and speaks frequently nationally and internationally. He is the author of The Making of An Ordinary Saint: My Journey from Frustration to Joy with the Spiritual Disciplines (2014) and Wisdom Chaser: Finding My Father at 14,000 Feet (2010). He currently resides in Michigan with his wife and two children.
